Rise- Flip Ref Sheet

I'm working on a page with more sketches of him, and will paste it here once Im done. Also. I will be putting up a small picture refrence of different angles of his hoverboard and how it works when I get the chance.

Gender: Male
Age: 16
Species: Arunabala
Height: maybe around like...5 feet? He's small. XD;
Weight category: Lightweight
Eyes: golden yellow
Feather color: Medium Brownish with black markings
Scars: One across his nose, and one on the back of each ankle.

Personality: Flip is somewhat wary when meeting new people, as most would mock and jerr him because of his size. ( Most Aruna's at tall, lanky creatures that can fly with ease through the air with their wings-- Flip's wings are too small and cannot support him. ) He always thinks he has to prove himself-- to strive and be number one. Once he begins to trust you however, he can be kind and fiercely protective, like all of his speices is.

History: Flip was a very curious and mischivious boy when he was younger. Of course, one day he found trouble in the form of a hunter-- they were looking for a species to hunt and to bring home a trophy. Flip saved a young female Aruna, at the cost of being chased and eventually caught. ( The hunter out smarted him, hid and eventually cut his ankles to stop him from escaping.) He was almost killed, but was rescued by someone he'd never seen before. She introduced herself as Dessira.

She brought him to her town ( I'll explain in detail in HER ref, she'll be a tag-along/ helper) anyways, she introduced him to racing/hoverboarding and they've been close ever since.

TL;DR- Flip got in trouble, a girl name Dessira saved him, introduced him to racing.

Fighting Style: Flip cant fly like the rest of his species, so he relys on running and jumping to get the advantage of his enemy. He's legs are the strongest part of his body and can take a lot of damage-- his arms however are weak, hence the arm guards.
